Ahh! - Oolong Green Tea - So Natural and So Good
Since the beginning of time nature has been providing man with exactly what he needs to maintain a perfect balance. Wu-long tea is the epitome of this concept.  This type of tea with its sweet and flouring taste exhilarates the taste buds inviting you to take another drink. You won’t be able to resist its lure but, because of the benefits of oolong teas, the giving in to temptation can now be guilt free! Unlike many other 'healthy' drinks that are good for you, Wu long tea (as it is also sometimes called) actually tastes great.  Because of the great taste, you won’t feel like you are substituting for a more preferred drink.

Starting Young with Healthy Drink Habits Can't Be Beaten
My 15 year old daughter starts pretty well every day with a similar green tea. She might punctuate it with black teas, coffees, smoothies and the like, but she comes back to it, her preferred choice, with surprising regularity. (Should I be so surprised? Well, I suppose because I was weened on sweet milk tea! Anyway...) You’ll quickly come to realize that drinks like Oolong can actually become your favorite drink and it has many, many benefits:

It Tastes Good - And It’s Good For You?
That wonderfully sweet flavor is nature’s way of encouraging you to drink tea because it’s good for you. Well, it sounds good, but why?
It's packed with antioxidants, so the tea can help you fight off many degenerative diseases by bolstering the immune system.
Really? - Yes! How, then?

Because of the Many Polyphenols
This comes about because of the very high levels of polyphenols, which help in this fight. Some research even suggests that tea can be a great warrior in the fight against cancer. Tea may prevent many kinds of cancer including those in the digestive system, lungs and breast.  Finally, tea may even help the heart. This is accomplished by lowering cholesterol. Tea can often slow down the absorption of cholesterol in the digestive system by bonding with it through that process.

The Perfect Beverage?
As if tea wasn’t already the perfect drink, consuming Wu-long (or wulong as it is also referred to) as slimming tea is also a great way to naturally speed weight loss or prevent weight gain.  Not carrying extra weight can make someone feel much better by itself, but when you add the cardiovascular effects to this, the benefits are even more substantial.  Tea accomplishes this through stimulating your body’s metabolic rate with generous but not overpowering levels of caffeine.  Additionally, it goes without saying that those same polyphenols that help with bolstering your immune system and lowering fat also help with weight loss. Naturally, less fat always leads to weight loss.

Energy and Synergy Are Just A Few Cups Away
All of this means a synergistic effect is about to take place when. By drinking just a few cups of Wulong tea a day can get you to a point where you are energized by your heightened metabolism which keeps weight off and this keeps you metabolism at that high rate. Additionally, tea in its most natural state has just a few calories. The added energy will easily burn off those invested extra calories. Who knew that such an increase in quality of life were just a few cups away and the fact that it tastes so good is just the added bonus we all hoped for.
