Caisse Tea - The Natural Cure for Cancer? (Part 1)

In 1996, my husband was diagnosed with lung cancer. The tumor in his left lung had caused the top lobe to partially collapse, which is what prompted the tests and diagnosis. My husband was understandably freaked out by the news, as was I, but I refused to let either of us lose control.

My Long Term Interest in Medicinal Herbs Pays Off
I had been studying, experimenting, and using medicinal herbs for some time, treating all manner of ailments and injuries for humans and pets with great results. In the course of my studies, I heard about an herbal combination called Caisse (or Essiac) Tea. I had found the information so compelling that I printed out everything I could find out about it and stashed it in a file, just in case the unthinkable happened. And then it did.

Upon his diagnosis, I immediately told him about this tea and handed him the file of information to read. My skeptic, engineer husband had personally witnessed my successes with medicinal herbs making him more open to trying the tea than he otherwise would have been. He only read a couple of pages before saying, “Get me this stuff”.

The Immediate Action
The next day, I got the herbs and prepared the tea. He started drinking it morning and evening as prescribed. At that point he was more in a state of mind that it “can't hurt”, than believing it would really do that much for his cancer. The greatest benefit I could see was that he could actively DO something and not just passively await whatever the doctors would throw at him. Having at least some feeling of active control helped both of us tremendously.

Skepticism of Medical Profession

He told his oncologist that he was taking the herbs. The doctor blew them off as having any value, but basically said, “sure, why not”. The doctor ordered a couple of rounds of chemotherapy to try to shrink the large tumor a bit before operating to remove his lung. My husband had his first chemo treatment soon after. He was told that the chemo would make him quite ill, and that he would lose his body hair. No surprise there. We had expected that.

The Dream Result Nobody Could Believe
What no one expected is that none of that happened. He did suffer with joint pain for a day or two and he did lose a bit of his hair – strangely only the few dark hairs he had left, leaving his thick, gray head of hair and mustache intact. His appetite remained as robust as before, with no stomach upset or distress of any kind. When they did the follow up blood test, expecting to see the significant drop in red blood cells that results from chemo, they were astonished to see that his blood count remained in an entirely healthy range. They even did a second blood test to confirm it, believing that there had to be an error. There wasn't.

(This is continued next week.)
